ASG - Associated Student Government

The
Associated Student Government officers are your advocates and representatives
on campus. The ASG consists of a three-member Executive Committee
and the Senate. You are invited to stop by the office at your convenience
and get acquainted with the members of your student government.

THE
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE: provides direction and
guidance for student government, assisting each member
to attain his/her leadership potential. Elections, leadership
activities, equipment acquisitions, and budget development
are the primary responsibilities of the Executive Committee.

THE BANDIT:
A
campus life publication

THE SENATE: organizes student activities and manages the daily
operation of the student government office. Senators plan student
events, encourage club development, provide sponsorship for intramural
teams, and supervise the production of their publication, The Bandit.
In addition, Associated Student Government officers are assigned
to a college committee or task force serving as a bridge between
the student body and the college community.
If you enjoy planning and organizing activities, you want to develop
leadership skills, or you want to meet people and have fun, volunteer
to help with one of the following activities:
• Blood Drive
• Entertainment for Students
• Head Start Christmas Tree project
• Holiday Events
• Voter Registration
Other
services provided by the Associated Student Government:

• Graduation announcements
• Locker rental
• Lost and found
• Recreational equipment
When you are in need of assistance or information, be sure to
contact any of your ASG officers. They will direct you to the appropriate
person or office.
ELECTIONS FOR THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR:
If you are interested in running for a Student Government position,
applications will be available in February.
STUDENT CLUBS:
The active clubs on campus are the Art Club, Bible Club, Criminal
Justice Club, Nursing Club, Phi Theta Kappa (Honor Society), Rising
LITes Club (current and former students of the Lives in Transition
program), and the ROV Club (Remote Operational Vehicle).
If you are interested in starting a new club, stop by the ASG Office
and pick up the club handbook/application packet.
