Arts & Ideas develops and coordinates
with individuals and groups in the arts, heritage, and humanities in
order to provide educational and diverse performances to the community.
Arts & Ideas primarily draws upon community talent
for its programming, including area high school students. Working with
community groups, such
as The River Theater in Astoria, the Coaster Theatre in Cannon Beach,
the Sunset Empire Parks & Recreation District in Seaside and the
Lower Columbia Hispanic Council, enables our community to enjoy the diversity
of programming from which we all benefit. With the College’s vision
in mind, we are collaborating with local schools in order to bring in
talent that is beyond our individual
economic realities — when we join together, we are all able to
share in these enrichment opportunities.
Presented in a setting of artistry and education, the program provides
opportunities for creativity and learning for both artists and audience.
The Clatsop Community College Performing Arts Center is a gem of the
community, boasting incredible acoustics and a warm, inviting ambience.
Arts & Ideas is proud to serve the College’s vision of continuously
building an educational community that encourages learning and achievement.
