Clatsop Community College Receives Gift of Equipment from Warrenton Fire Department

A generous gift from the Warrenton Fire Department of 20 self-contained-breathing-apparatuses completes the College’s goal of providing modern, safe, and compatible protective gear for each student in its fire training program.

“ We strive to provide quality training, using repeatable and realistic scenarios to increase safety and survivability for all firefighter on land and at sea,” says Jerry Alderman, CCC Fire Science Instructor. “We are very grateful to the Warrenton Fire Department for the gift of this personal protective equipment, which is critical in firefighting and in fire training.”

The students who will benefit from this gift include fire trainees from regional fire departments, U.S. Coast Guard, industrial fire brigades, and the College’s Fire Science and Marine Fire courses.
