CCC Campus Design Committee Scheduled to Convene

At the invitation of Clatsop Community College President, Dr. Greg Hamann, a number of individuals from the community and the College have agreed to serve on the Campus Design Committee that will lead, facilitate, and coordinate the College’s campus design effort.
The Campus Design Committee will be chaired by Lindi Overton, CCC Vice President of Operations. Members include Rosemary Baker-Monaghan, Howard Clarke, Randy Collver, Nancy Cook, Greg Dorcheus, Tom Gill, Pat Keefe, Richard Rowland, Frank Satterwhite, Todd Scott, and Jennifer Whitman. The committee will also include student representatives.

The committee, working with the architectural firm that the College will engage, and with input from the college and the community, is charged with several tasks. Initially, it will develop a descriptive document on “Campus Design Guiding Concepts,” utilizing principles and criteria established by the College Board.

The committee will also review and refine program and function space needs, develop a conceptual framework for campus design, identify a variety of campus design ideas and test those ideas until one emerges and is fully developed, work to develop a project that fits within budget, and develop construction documents.

As the work of the committee progresses, minutes of its meetings and other information about campus planning will be posted on the College’s website at www.clatsopcc.edu/campus.
