CCC’s Arts & Ideas presents "Young Choreographers Concert"

Arts & Ideas is proud to present The Little Ballet Theatre’s 26th annual Young Choreographer’s Concert on Friday, April 13 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 14 at 2 p.m. at the Clatsop Community College Performing Arts Center located at 16th & Franklin in Astoria.

The Young Choreographer’s Concert is a result of the unique opportunity for the members of Little Ballet Theatre to experience the art of choreography on their own. Unassisted in their selection of costume, music, and structure; they prove to be highly creative and original.

They are adjudicated by experienced dance judges, and receive constructive criticism and feedback.

The audiences over the years have been enthusiastic over the artistic achievements of the young dancers.

There will be 15 young choreographers this year ranging in age from 10 to 18 dancing 16 original pieces. A vast genre of dance styles and music awaits the audience.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to see the “premiers” of these talented young people from our North Coast!

Tickets are $8 general; $6 students and seniors; $4 children 12 and under. They may be purchased at Bach ‘n Rock in downtown Astoria or at the box office one hour before performance.
