Welding Scholarship Deadline Extended Again to August 22
It’s not too late to apply for a full scholarship to attend the Welding
Certificate Program fall term at Clatsop Community College. The deadline
to apply for the scholarship has once again been extended to August 22,
2007.
Applicants could be awarded up to $12,660 a year to attend the one-year
program, which prepares students to successfully pass American Welding
Society certification exams. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition,
fees, books, supplies, equipment, transportation or childcare while enrolled
at CCC.
To qualify for this scholarship opportunity offered by Northern Star Natural
Gas/Bradwood Landing, applicants must be enrolled or plan to enroll in
the CCC one-year welding certificate program in the fall of 2007. Educational
background, work experience and need will be considered, and previous experience
in the construction trades and/or a strong mathematical background is also
helpful.
