CCC Art Club holds Art Sale Fundraiser

The Art Club at Clatsop Community College is holding its second annual Art Sale from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, January 26 in the Student Center located near the bookstore at CCC’s Jerome Avenue Campus.

Both students and instructors will be donating pieces for the sale, ranging from paintings and pottery to photography, sculpture and mixed media. The artwork is affordably priced, between $20 and $200 a piece, and smaller items as well.

Proceeds from the art sale fundraiser help support the Art Club, and support student artists, who can earn a 20 percent commission for each piece sold.

The CCC Art Club meets every Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the Art Center Gallery. Anyone is welcome to join the club, which takes regular field trips—on February 2 they will travel to the Portland Art Museum for the Egyptian Tour. The Art Club is also working toward several community service projects.
