Welding Scholarship Deadline Extended |
Clatsop Community College Clatsop Community College announces that the deadline to apply for full scholarship funding to attend the Welding Certificate Program has been extended through August 1, 2007. Applicants could be awarded up to $12,660 a year to attend the one-year program, which prepares students to successfully pass American Welding Society certification exams. Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies, equipment, transportation or childcare while enrolled at CCC. To qualify for this scholarship opportunity offered by Northern Star Natural Gas/Bradwood Landing, applicants must be enrolled or plan to enroll in the CCC one-year welding certificate program in the fall of 2007. Educational background, work experience and need will be considered, and previous experience in the construction trades and/or a strong mathematical background is also helpful.
