WIN A SCHOLARSHIP AT OREGON COLLEGE NIGHT AT CCC

Congressman David Wu, will be on hand to welcome attendees at “Oregon College Night” Monday, November 19 from 6-9:15 p.m. at the CCC Gym in Patriot Hall, 1653 Jerome Ave., Astoria.

Oregon College Night provides an opportunity for students and their families to learn how to get started in their college experience and how to pay for their college education.

There will also be a drawing to win one of three CCC tuition waivers worth three credits each, or one of four $500 scholarships provided by ECMC to be used at the college of your choice. 

The evening’s events will be as follows:
6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. FREE Pizza and drinks in the gym
7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Welcome from David Wu and Dr. Greg Hamann; overview of presentations and scholarship drawing
8:15 p.m. – 9:15 p.m. Breakout sessions, information on:

• Choosing the right college
• Scholarship searches and scams
• Understanding the financial aid process

All local high school students and individuals in the community who are interested in a college education are encouraged to attend. For more information please contact the CCC Financial Assistance Office at 503-338-2322.
