CCC Offers Course That Helps Local Agencies Meet FEMA Requirements

Clatsop Community College will offer a training course to help local agencies and interested citizens learn about the National Incident Management System or NIMS. This course meets the requirements of Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course ICS-200. Pre-requisites for this course are successful completion of ICS700 and IS100 (copy of certificate is required).

ICS200 is perfect for any public/private sector employee who is required to have NIMS training. Such training is also required to maintain agency eligibility for disaster preparedness grants from the Federal government.

This course will be offered at both the Seaside and Astoria CCC campuses from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Nov. 17th, 2007 and Nov. 16th, 2007 respectively.
