From: Caitlin Wright Clatsop Community College Clatsop Community College to Host Career and Transfer Information Day Clatsop Community College students and community members alike are invited to attend Career and Transfer Information Day from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Thursday, January 31 on the 3rd floor of Patriot Hall at Clatsop Community College’s Jerome Avenue campus. The 3rd floor of Patriot Hall is ADA accessible: for other accommodations call (503) 338-2474; TDD (503) 338-2468. Transfer Information Day provides an opportunity for students to visit in person with representatives from 17 different colleges and universities. This event provides a wonderful chance to learn about the institutions’ admissions, majors, housing and campus activities. Students can come prepared with questions, learn about the application process, or just explore what the different schools have to offer. There will be representatives from the following colleges and universities at Clatsop Community College on Career and Transfer Information Day:
Representatives from the Ford Foundation will also be onsite to provide scholarship information. In conjunction with Transfer Information Day, Career Information Day will be held concurrently in an adjoining room. There, students will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from local employers/businesses. Students can learn about available careers and what education and other requirements are necessary for students to pursue those careers.
