CCC’s Politics and Government Club Hosts Bailout 101: A Forum on the Economy At the PAC

Clatsop Community College (CCC) would like to invite the public to Bailout 101: A Forum on the Economy at the Performing Arts Center (PAC). This forum will allow the public to hear from local and regional bankers and economists on the effects and implications of the current financial crisis. A panel of speakers will discuss and analyze aspects of the outfall of the crisis and specific effects of the Troubled Assets Relief Program (the “Bailout”) that was passed by Congress. Questions from the audience at the end of the panel’s discussion are encouraged. On hand at the event will be speakers Art Ayre (State Employment Economist, Oregon Employment Department), Steve Ferber (President and CEO, Compass Community Bank), Larry Elliott (financial advisor - MassMutual Financial Group), and Carmen Heister (Personal Banker, US Bank).

The Politics and Government Club at CCC has sponsored this forum to allow students, faculty and the general public an opportunity to learn more about the Bailout and the financial crisis.

Bailout 101: A Forum on the Economy will be held at the PAC on November 13th, 2008 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The PAC is located at 16th St. and Franklin St. in Astoria, OR and is ADA accessible. This event is free and open to all!

Please contact Patrick Kane Ph.D., CCC Department of Social Science Instructor, at (503) 338-2473 for more information about this event.

Clatsop Community College is an affirmative action, equal opportunity institution.
