Clatsop Community College to Host Career and Transfer Information Day

Clatsop Community College students and community members alike are invited to attend Career and Transfer Information Day from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 20th in the Clatsop Community College (CCC) Patriot Gym at CCC’s Jerome Avenue campus. ADA access to the gym is at the corner of 16th and Lexington entrance. For other accommodations contact Jim Holen, Disabilities Services, 503-338-2474, TDD 503-338-2468.

Transfer Information Day provides an opportunity for students to visit in person with representatives from 21 different colleges and universities. This event provides a wonderful chance to learn about the institutions’ admissions, majors, housing and campus activities. Students can come prepared with questions, learn about the application process, or just explore what the different schools have to offer.

There will be representatives from the following colleges and universities at Clatsop Community College on Career and Transfer Information Day:

• Art Institute of Portland
• Eastern Oregon University
• Ford Foundation Scholarships
• George Fox University
• Linfield College (Division of Continuing Education)
• Marylhurst University
• Northwest Christian University
• Oregon College of Oriental Medicine
• Oregon Institute of Technology
• Oregon State University
• OSU Cascades Campus
• Pacific University
• Portland State University
• Southern Oregon University
• University of Idaho
• University of Oregon
• University of Phoenix/Oregon Campus
• Warner Pacific College
• Washington State – Vancouver
• Western Oregon University
• Western States Chiropractic College

In conjunction with Transfer Information Day, Career Information Day will be held concurrently in the CCC Gym. There, students will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from local employers/businesses. Students can learn about available careers and what education and other requirements are necessary for students to pursue those careers.

The SSS-Plus Program, a federally funded TRiO/Student Support Services Program, sponsors career and Transfer Information Day.
