Volunteer Literacy Program
| Volunteer tutors help adults learn to read, write and improve
basic literacy skills. Tutors may also help English as a Second Language students
improve speaking, reading and writing English. Volunteer tutor training workshops
are offered each term. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer tutor, or if
you know of an adult with literacy needs, contact Clatsop Community College Volunteer
Literacy Program.

| Non-English speaking students improve their skills in reading,
writing, and speaking English. Beginning and advanced classes are offered at locations
in Seaside and Astoria.

| Students improve their reading, writing and math skills for
job readiness and to meet life skills needs. Assessment is provided; flexible scheduling
is available. Both day and evening classes are offered in Seaside and Astoria.

| Students prepare to pass the GED Test, a national examination
widely recognized as equivalent to a high school diploma. GED Orientation sessions
and placement testing are available to help students access their skill levels. Classes
are $25 and the fee for taking the test is $90. Already have your GED and need copies of your transcripts? Check here for information how to get them. |
