Continuing Education

We know that well-trained workers are critical to the success of your organization, and that you need your employees to keep pace with the demands of changing technologies. That's why we offer low-cost, customized training services to help workers learn new skills and update their knowledge.

We provide programs for:

- Technical training
- Economic development
- Supervisory and management development
- Computer training
- Balancing work and family
- Small business success
- Employee workplace basics
- Sales and customer service

- Continuing education for license/certificate requirements or updates for workers such as hazardous material handlers, alcohol servers, highway flaggers and food handlers.

We work with you to make sure the training program meets your organization's needs and fits your time schedules. We can train employees either at your business site or on our campus. We can help your employees further their college careers as they learn new skills by providing them with course accreditation as well as college credits or continuing education units for all our training programs. We draw upon experts from a variety of fields to provide training, and we match instructors to your organization's needs.

Also, our Continuing Education department schedules an array of business-oriented workshops and courses throughout the county each term. Recent offerings include:

- Computer Accounting
- Using the Internet
- Desktop Publishing
- Keyboarding
- Workplace Diversity
- Dealing with Irate Customers
- Providing Excellent Customer Service
- Creative Thinking, Working and Living
- Grant-writing for Nonprofit Organizations
