Thursday February 25
Pre-Event Fisher Poets Get-Together: Early arriving program readers & musicians, and their accompanying families/friends, gather at the Astoria Event Center at 6 p.m. Thursday for a no-host meal and pre-event greetings.

8 p.m. Readers’ Welcome Mike follows (audience welcome) at Clemente’s restaurant, 1198 Commercial St.

Friday February 26

Fisher Poets invitational art show reception, works by Pat Dixon, Olympia WA (Alaska photographs); Jon Campbell, Narragansett RI (“Gulls” paintings); and Cary Jones, Eugene OR (marine life metal sculptures); at Coffee Girl, Pier 39

Films: A showing of films on fishing-related issues, including The Truth, a documentary on East Coast fishing regulation from the fishermen’s point of view; El Cerco (The Fence), Tuna fishing the rough old fashioned way in Spain, a short film shown at the International Film Festival in Seattle; also Salmon’s Kin, a short of underwater photography of salmon, with poems by Fisher Poet Joanna Reichhold of Trinidad CA. Films repeat Saturday, same time. Columbian Theater
