U.S. Coast Guard Approved Licensing Program  The U.S. Coast guard has approved Clatsop's Marine licensing program in lieu of testing for licenses as Master/Mate of not more than 200 gross tons. This applies to Inland, Near Coastal and Ocean licenses. We also offer training in preparation for U.S. Coast Guard examinations for licenses in excess of 200 gross tons. These classes are available during any of the weeks listed in the general class schedule. NOTE: The Commanding Officer at the U.S. Coast Guard National Maritime Center has authorized the verification of the identity of students enrolled in Coast Guard approved courses.
